9. Classmate blog critique

 

Classmate Blog Critique

    Over the semester everyone has completed some great assignments. The attention to detail, research analysis, and the thoughtful nature of blog designs have been truly admirable and over the semester it has only improved. It is hard to pick just a couple of people whose blog design sticks out the most. While everyone has their own style of writing and design every brief in my opinion have exceeded expectations. If I were to choose two blogs that stuck out to me the most, they would be Madisyn Morphew  and Emalea Bailey.  

    Madison's blog sticks out to me because of the consistency in design that she brings to her blog. I like that when you go to her blog that you can see the black and red aesthetic throughout her entire blog. I feel like that the consistency of the design helps to add complexity to her overall blog. Along with her consistency in design Madison also brings high quality research while also adding her own personal touches into her briefs. 

  

    One brief that I think she did a really great job on was brief five on Surveillance or Law Enforcement . I liked how she used her added how the surveillance cameras helped to give her assurance and peace of mind. I think that her research was very well done and the videos and interactive only helped to further prove what she has said in her brief. 

    

    Emalea's blog stuck out to me as well because of the quality of her writing and her ability to share the information that she has researched in an entertaining yet knowledgeable way. Also, her overall website design is very clean and consistent. Her text is very easy to read, and it is easy to find her interactivity in the text. Throughout all of her brief she provides a wide range of examples which I think attributes to the extent of her research. 

    

    

One brief of Emalea's that really stuck out to me was her brief number seven on Binge Watching. I liked how she provided multiple examples of binge watching. I liked how she provided examples of different shows that a person can binge watch and the reasoning behind why someone might would binge watch that show. I also thought that her ability to connect shows that she has watched with the different reasons someone would binge watch a show. 

    

In conclusion, I believe that everyone has produced great quality work and that everyone has presented new strategies in how they create their works that we as peers might can take inspiration from. It was hard to pick just a couple of examples of exemplary work from this semesters class in Directed study of Mass Media II. I feel that our work will only continue to grow and become better and better.
